What's a fractional HR engagement, exactly?

A fractional engagement is part-time, ongoing senior HR support, typically one to three days a week, embedded in your business. You get the strategic firepower and execution of a Head of People without the full-time cost.

How is this different from hiring an HR consultant?

Most consultants deliver a deck and disappear. We become part of your team, joining your standups, your Slack, and your decisions, and we don't leave until the systems run without us.

What size of business do you work with?

Founders and scale-ups from around 10 staff up to 250, and SMEs that have outgrown ad-hoc HR. If you're not sure you fit, the discovery call will tell us both within 30 minutes.

Do you only work in Australia?

We're based in Australia and most of our work is here, but we partner with Australian-headquartered businesses that have remote or international teams. We'll be upfront if a market is outside our depth.

How do engagements typically start?

Every engagement begins with a Discover call followed by a paid Deep Dive: a structured HR audit that gives you a prioritised roadmap whether or not we work together afterwards.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on scope. Fractional retainers, fixed-scope projects and workshops are all priced differently. We share a tailored proposal after the Discover call.

Do you replace my existing HR team?

Almost never. We most often work alongside an existing HR Manager or People & Culture lead, adding senior strategic capacity, specialist L&D, or executive coaching they can't deliver alone.
